Trying to plan a team building experience for clients is a challenging task. The planner needs to understand what kinds of activities will successfully encourage camaraderie and engagement between attendees, along with building a fun and professional atmosphere. So what activities should a meeting planner consider?

A trend quickly gaining popularity for team building exercises is competitive cooking. Attendees are split into groups and handed instructions on what to cook. The groups compete to see who finishes their dishes first and then enjoy their own creations. This is a great idea to encourage communication between the attendees.
Another idea to consider for team building exercises is golfing. Even if the attendees don’t have an entire day to dedicate to the course, consider planning mini-games. These ideas include putting contests, golf simulator contests and short three- to nine-hole tournaments.
What other team building exercises would you consider planning?
