MEET Celebrates the Holidays with Opportunity Village

By October 26, 2010

MEET Las Vegas is a proud supporter of Opportunity Village in Las Vegas! Opportunity Village is a not-for-profit organization helping people in Las Vegas with intellectual and related disabilities become the very best they can be through vocational training, community employment, day services, advocacy, arts, and social recreation.

The MEET team kicked off the holiday season by decorating a tree in the charity’s Magical Forest.

“There’s nothing like the Magical Forest at Opportunity Village to put you in the holiday spirit,” said MEET’s CEO Dan Maddux, adding that more cities should have organizations like Opportunity Village, which is almost entirely self-funded. “It is a special part of our community because it not only helps those with disabilities, it also helps people realize the value in helping their neighbors with disabilities,” he said.

The MEET tree at Magical Forest is elegant and festive with decorations having a blue tone to match MEET brand colors. More than 150,000 people visit the charity’s Magical Forest every year with all proceeds benefiting people with disabilities at Opportunity Village. The Magical Forest is celebrating its 19th year of providing holiday joy to the Las Vegas community. This year’s Magical Forest season runs from November 20 – December 31.
