As the web evolves and the economy remains sluggish, savvy marketers are creating their own content on blogs and social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to build buzz, online traffic and brand loyalty at a fraction of the cost. This technique of reaching customers and prospects directly by publishing content, is known as content marketing.

  • 59% of marketers have used custom content/media as part of their marketing efforts in the last 12 months, with an additional 32% planning to use it in the next 12 months. (Source)
