It’s holiday season. . . which means, parties galore! Whether you are an event planner, venue owner/operator, caterer or host, you can appreciate that there will be no shortage of celebrations this holiday season.
In a survey by Special Events Magazine, two-thirds of caterers foresee solid holiday party business this year. Although their clients are not demanding discounts, caterers are offering more affordable menus with a creative spin on traditional holiday cuisine.
Many caterers are also seeing advance bookings increase, but smaller parties than in years past. According to the caterer from the Fairmont Copley Plaza hotel in Boston, the average number of guests at this year’s holiday parties will be 200-250, quite different than that of the 800 guests attending parties in 2007.
