At an event, the food you serve can be just as important as the event itself. The National Restaurant Association surveyed over one thousand professional chefs to find menu items that will surely leave an impact on your guests.
Here are some of our favorite food trends of 2017 that you can use at your next event:
- Street food dishes-Consumers get to discover flavors of local foods from faraway places, and chefs get to create their versions of the ultimate dumplings, tempura, tacos, or kabobs.
- Charcuterie– This cured-meat and cheese plate is popular with chefs and diners. This is a budget friendly option that all event attendees will still find satisfying.
- Healthy menu options– Salads, fruits and whole grain meals are increasing in popularity especially among adult attendees.
- New cuts of meat– Think outside the traditional filet or sirloin options. Expand your menu options with some new cuts of beef, like the shoulder tender or the oyster steak.
