4 Tips for an Effective Crisis Communications Plan

By March 30, 2020

There has been a lot of uncertainty in the events industry lately. Now more than ever, it is important to have an effective crisis communications plan in place to communicate with event attendees and clients. Here are a few tips for keeping attendees informed:

  1. Be clear

Attendees may need to change flights and other reservations, so if there’s any chance of cancelling your event, let your attendees know as soon as possible.

  1. Communicate regularly

Don’t leave your attendees with an inadequate amount of information. Give updates at least every other day to keep attendees up-to-date.

  1. Be responsive

Frequently check your email inbox and social media pages for questions from attendees. Respond to all messages in a timely manner.

  1. Be consistent

Whether you’re communicating through emails or social media, make sure you’re sending the same message through each platform.
