At MEET Las Vegas, we firmly believe all individuals should feel welcome, safe, and included at any event you host. In honor of Pride Month, the annual celebration of the LGBTQ community each June, here are a few tips we hope you consider for hosting a more inclusive event.

1. Marketing materials

Every event has a wide variety of marketing materials that are used promote the event. Make sure your marketing materials include gender-neutral language and imagery so all individuals feel welcome to attend.

2. Registration forms

Event registration forms typically ask for basic information such as name, gender, phone number, and email address. Consider asking for someone’s gender is relevant for your event. If it is necessary to ask participants their gender for your event, include options outside of “Male” and “Female,” such as “Non-binary” or “Other” to ensure every attendeefeels represented.

3. Post-event surveys

In your post-event survey, ask about diversity and inclusion. Find out if ALL of your attendees felt included and ask for feedback on how you can improve at your next event. There is always room for growth!
