3 Safety Questions to Ask a Venue Before Your Next Event

By September 9, 2020

As more events start returning in-person, it is critical to ensure the safety of your attendees. Here are a few questions to ask your venue before hosting your next event.

1. How many attendees can you safely accommodate?

Your venue will need to follow state and local guidelines to ensure they do not have more guests than social distancing measures allow. If your event is expecting to have more attendees than what is allowed, it may be smart to consider transitioning into a hybrid event.

2. What are your procedures for cleaning the venue?

Venue staff should frequently disinfect surfaces such as door handles and shared objects such as tables. Ask the venue how often the venue is thoroughly cleaned and if there is a set schedule to ensure the safety of guests.

3. Does your venue include an outdoor space?

Outdoor events are currently safer than indoor events. Ask your venue if their space includes an outdoor area to host part or all your event to provide better ventilation for guests.  Here at MEET, clients love the flexibility our Outdoor Pavilion provides for a variety of professional and social events.
